While I applaud the efforts any celebrity to be a good role model to children, what were the makers of this PSA thinking? How is it not funny to hear Pee Wee Herman say, “This is Crack” in that famous nasal voice of his? See for yourself:
The PSA features Pee-wee Herman (Paul Reubens) lecturing children about the dangers of crack cocaine.
At some point, we realize we are trapped in some mysterious dark room with only Pee-wee and an anonymous camera crew, and then the soundtrack starts simulating a dying heartbeat. If this even remotely resembles what being on crack is like, then I agree with Pee-wee: “It isn’t worth it.”
